The ICD “Experience Africa” Program

Cultural Diplomacy in Africa Research

Introduction

The Cultural Diplomacy in Africa Research (CDAR) is a program undertaken by the ICD Academy for Cultural Diplomacy consisting of components focused on analyzing and interpreting key challenges facing culture and society in the contemporary era. As the field continues to grow, further research undertaken on the role and potential of Cultural Diplomacy consequently develops. CDAR therefore focuses on expanding the current understanding of Cultural Diplomacy in Africa, as well as the methods for which Cultural Diplomacy can be successfully implemented.

By providing an informed academic portal resource which offers a diverse and current range of examples of Cultural Diplomacy in Africa, we can increase the access to and further the development of the field. We aim to highlight the potential utility of this important tool as a valid policy option in achieving conflict resolution and strengthening bilateral relations in the event that traditional diplomacy fails.

We hope that you will find CDAR to be an interesting and important contribution to the continuum of news and information available on the internet. Please contact us with comments or questions at: cdaculturaldiplomacyorg
